As I stated above, my writing days are young although I comb hair of gray. My husband decided to uncloset my work that I have penned and left there. We are native New Mexicans, and 2001 allowed us to grace retirement days with much excitement. We have two sons, Keith and Kipp. Kipp and Kim have made us grandparents and being a grandmother is greater than retirement.

I have poems published in the following places: THE RAG, HERLAND'S FLAMING TONGUES, SPACE CHAPBOOK VOLUME I, THE SUNBURST, ARTESIA DAILY PRESS, ROSWELL DAILY RECORD, THE CUSTER CHRONICLE, HODGEPODGE, STORYZINE, INSPIRATIONAL VERSES, and the PURPLE ROSE.

I was poet of the month at DDDD PUBLICATION POEMAGAZINE, and I won second place in a poetry contest at FEELINGS OF THE HEART. I also won an on-line-poetry contest twice with GRAYMALKIN. I was featured poet in the March-Spring 2001 issue of Kenya Blue's
OPENED EYES. I have three honorable mentions at BYLINES MAGAZINE for short stories. I will have a poem published in the next edition of POTPOURRI. This I am really excited about.

I have an on-line exhibit at Poetry.com, and I have numerous poems published in anthologies with The National Library of Poetry from Ownings Maryland. I also have poems on-line at Wellspring Christian Poetry and Christian Poets.

I am a member of the South West Writers from Alb. N. M., and a poetry guild in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This poetry guild has given me a lot of confidence to get up in front of people and read my work. Retirement gives me time to relax, write, spend time with my spouse of 37 years, and spoil my new (only) grandson.
